The Soul Connection project's ultimate aim is to produce a book based on the content of the instrumental CD of the same name.

Sit back, relax and listen to the Soul Connection album on the media player on the homepage, album page or, if you have the CD or have downloaded the album, slip on some headphones and take an hour to submerge yourself in the sound. What thoughts, images, places, situations, emotions, feelings come into your mind when you hear each track? Is there a connection between the tone of the music and the thoughts it envokes? Maybe it allows you to clear your mind and relax. Maybe a certain piece of music makes you cry. Maybe a certain piece of music makes you smile and feel contented. Why does some music make you feel a shiver or the hairs on your neck stand up? Does everyone react to the music in the same way?

This unique concept album aims to try and identify some of these connections through interaction with the listener directly. Is music really a gateway to the soul and the subconcious? Send me your thoughts and we will attempt to make the link.

There is a twist however! Each instrumental track on the album has a lyric and a vocal and Soul Connection Vol 2 will be included with the book and will contain my interpretation of the musical content. How close will the listener feedback be? How do the musical themes translate into thoughts?
